New York (USA), April 25, 2011
A step at a time will help you a great deal in writing and thereafter publishing an eBook that will be highly profitable for you.
1. The Title of the Book: Jot down all possible titles for the book, a book with a catchy title and opening lines attract customers. Once you have written the titles, strike away all the titles that are less appealing.
2. Getting Everything Organized: Once you have decided the title it is time that you decide why you are writing the eBook. You need to organize your ideas and focus on the audience that will read your eBook.
3. Write a Thesis Statement: Here you will need to focus on the book and the benefits attached to it. Writing a thesis is like building a guideline that will help you not to deviate from the topic.
4. Research and Relevance: Once you start writing, be sure you have enough research done. See that the solution you provide has enough strength, relevance and is authentic.
5. Who are Your Readers: Know your target audience; know their age group and gender, the kind of reading that they will be interested in, etc. Knowing your audience will lend a great deal of strength to your writing.
6. Use a Reader Friendly Format: While moving from chapter to chapter, be sure to maintain a consistent format. You may start with the introduction and then move on to divide the chapter into 4 or 5 subhead topics. You may use PDF format, this is widely accepted.
7. Matters Matter a Lot: An eBook is open to the entire world therefore be extra sensitive in what you write. You need to keep in mind that your words are not thought provoking, to an individual or any nation or race.
8. Do Not be a Plain Jane: Take some initiative to make the cover of your book attractive. However, do not overdo the cover. You may insert pictures and add colors to your eBook.
9. Be Specific and Concise: Use simple language and fonts. Too many words are unnecessary and at times act as a show spoiler. Do not make spelling errors it leaves a bad impression.
10. Promote Well: Promotion is very necessary, therefore research on the ways of promotion. You may add the article to your website or submit it to directories and do not forget to add the contact links. You may also give the book as complimentary gifts to first time visitors or subscribers.
