Use a mild cleanser or toner to wash your face in the morning, noon, and evening. Similarly, clean your face after a rigorous workout to wash off sweat. Do not use commercial soap for washing your face, as they contain chemicals. Instead, wash face with glycerin soap. Excessive washing can also rob your skin of the natural protective oil and render all acne skin care methods useless. Do not keep touching your face as it could increase your acne.

After cleansing, use a clean hot towel to remove all toxic material. Thereafter, apply acne face cream gently, allowing the cream to penetrate deep into your skin providing the ideal acne skin care. The best time to use the cream is before going to bed at night and after cleaning your face in the morning.

Avoid direct sunlight: Sun’s ultraviolet rays dry your skin and redden it. This damages your skin further and dry skin develops more ruptures leading to acne aggravation.

Shaving: Men suffering from acne need to shave gently using reputed brands of razor and shaving creams. You should not use sharp blades as it could accidentally cut off tip of pimples or acne leading to further breakouts.

Cosmetics: All cosmetics like moisturizers, eye shadows, and blush on should be devoid of oily base and therefore use non-comedogenic cosmetics only. Avoid hairstyling products like gels and aerosols as they too touch your skin. Cosmetics contain chemicals, which block your skin pores and cause irritations leading to increase in acne.
